PRAISE FOR
MIDNIGHT SONG
In a compilation of tales focusing on creatures of myth and
legend, Denise Little has gathered 15 original stories to
enchant the reader. My personal favorites in CREATURE
FANTASTIC (4) include Jody Lynn Nye's mystical "Father
Noe's Beastiary", where an unlikely artist sets up shop in an
inner city slum and two would-be thieves "disturb" one of
his paintings of griffons, dragons and other legendary beasts.
In "Midnight Song" by Carol Hightshoe, every night a
lonely werewolf returns to his wife's grave, until a little
help from a priest changes his world.
Von Jocks brings an
ancient definition of "Virgin" to light in her feminist "Yes,
Virginia, There is A Unicorn." Ms. Little's choices are
insightful and compelling with most, but not all, following a
common subplot of good vs. evil, freedom over oppression.

Your story was actually one of my favorites.
I like stories where the problem gets solved with an
interesting twist. And of course, I am very found of wolves.
The softly mournful tone delighted me -- the whole story
kind of sounds like wolfsong.

So, I think you did a great job with it.
Congratulations on your first sale.
